When I was in fifth grade, I went on my first cross-cultural mission trip with my family—and I was hooked. From that moment, I was determined to see the world and serve wherever I could.
Sure, I loved the adventure—new countries, new flavors, new sounds and smells. But what captured my heart most was watching the people on the ground doing real, life-changing work every day. They had huge hearts and gave everything they could to see lives changed. I wanted to be part of that.
After earning my degree in Professional Writing from Taylor University, I came home to lead a small communications team at Nappanee Missionary Church. I loved serving behind the scenes—creating pieces and telling stories that connected others to the mission. Still, I missed the hands-on work of those trips that had shaped me so deeply.
So in 2018, I packed up my life and moved to Thailand to serve with Outpour Family Foundation. A few years later, I moved to Chicago, where I worked alongside refugees and immigrants in the Little India neighborhood.
Here’s the thing: I’ve been where you are.
I’ve served behind the scenes—wearing every hat imaginable—and I’ve served on the front lines, where no two days are the same and the urgent often overshadows the important. I understand the challenges you face because I’ve lived them. And I share your deep passion for the people you serve.
That’s why I love coming alongside nonprofits like yours—to help you communicate clearly, engage donors, and increase your impact.
Nonprofit leader, I want to see you thrive. I want to see your team regain the time and energy lost doing work they don’t love (and maybe aren’t even meant to do). I want to see donors re-engage, becoming passionate advocates for your mission.
With the right communication strategy—and a plan to bring it to life—we can make that happen together.
